Welcome to Stokesay Primary School

We were delighted to welcome Mrs Godden, CEO of our Trust, into school today to lead a special assembly celebrating our Spring Photography Competition winners.

Mrs Godden shared her personal passion for photography, bringing along a fascinating collection of cameras from across different periods in history. Pupils were challenged to think carefully about how technology has evolved, as they worked together to place the cameras in chronological order. This sparked thoughtful discussion and curiosity, with children drawing on their knowledge and making links to how things change over time.

Following the assembly, pupils had the opportunity to get up close to the cameras, ask questions and speak with Mrs Godden about her collection. This was a fantastic moment of enrichment, allowing children to engage with real artefacts and deepen their understanding through first-hand experience.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate creativity, inspire curiosity and recognise the achievements of our talented photographers.
