Imagination Brings Learning to Life on Topic Day!
Children across the school enjoyed a fantastic Topic Day, dressing up and immersing themselves in the exciting themes that will shape their learning this term.
On Wednesday 16th September, Stokesay Primary School was transformed as pupils arrived dressed for our whole-school Topic Day. The day provided an exciting introduction to the topics that children will be exploring throughout the term, helping to spark curiosity and enthusiasm from the very start.
Every class took part in creative activities linked to their new topic. Nursery and Reception explored 'People Who Help Us', while Year 1 began learning about 'How We Are Making History'. Year 2 took to the skies with the 'History of Flight', and Year 3/4 travelled back in time to discover the fascinating world of the Mayans.
Meanwhile, Year 4/5 stepped into the Tudor era, learning about the lives of the Tudors, and Year 6 began their journey into the rich culture, geography and history of Japan.
Throughout the day, classrooms were filled with imaginative activities, creative learning opportunities and wonderful costumes. Topic Day is always a highlight of the school calendar as it helps children develop a deeper connection with their learning and inspires excitement for the weeks ahead.
We would like to thank all families for their support in helping children prepare for the day. The effort put into costumes and props helped make the event a memorable start to another exciting term of learning.
