Welcome to Nursery!
The class teacher is Miss Roberts supported by Mrs Good. In Nursery we enjoy having fun and learning through new experiences that focus on our interests and fascinations. Each half term we have a topic, where fun and engaging activities are planned to help support our learning through the chosen topic. Topics include- All About Me, Winter Celebrations, Spring, Seaside, Animals, Minibeasts, and many more!. Our Nursery works very closely with the Reception class, which enables a smooth transition into full time school.
One of the best things about being in this class is we love to have fun!
Each week the children take part in an Outdoor Learning session. Both Nursery and Reception go outside for the whole afternoon to explore and play in the Forest area. The children get to make mud pies, climb trees and play on the tyre swings. We even get the chance to have some campfires!
At Stokesay we use Tapestry as our online learning platform. This enables us to show the parent/carers the learning the children are doing at school. Parent/carers also get to upload any learning that children might do at home. We upload observations showing what the children have done in adult-led activities and child-initiated learning. Tapestry is also a very good way for communicating between home and Nursery.
