School Council Supports Local Food Bank at Harvest Festival
Members of our School Council visited Craven Arms Food Bank to learn about its vital work and help promote our Harvest Festival collection.
As part of this year's Harvest Festival, members of the School Council had the opportunity to visit the local Food Bank and learn more about the important role it plays within our community. During their visit, the children took part in role-play activities and interviewed members of the Food Bank team to gain a deeper understanding of how donations are collected and distributed to families in need.
The children returned to school with a wealth of knowledge and shared what they had learned during our Harvest Festival Assembly. They explained how the Food Bank is run by volunteers and highlighted the positive difference it makes to local people facing difficult circumstances.
Inspired by their visit, our school community came together to support the Food Bank through a Harvest collection. Families generously donated a range of essential items, helping to ensure that the Food Bank can continue to provide support to those who need it most.
We are incredibly proud of our School Councillors for representing the school so well and for helping to raise awareness of the importance of supporting others. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the collection and helped make this year's Harvest Festival a meaningful celebration of community, kindness and generosity.
