Welcome to Stokesay Primary School

Eid!

Pupils across the school came together to celebrate Eid, sharing their experiences and learning about its importance through a special assembly and classroom activities.

On Friday 20th March, many of our pupils and their families celebrated Eid, marking the end of Ramadan. Today, we came together as a school community to recognise and celebrate this important occasion. Mrs Anthony led a special assembly, where some of our Muslim pupils shared their own experiences of Eid, speaking confidently about how they celebrated with their friends and families.

We were also proud to share a selection of photographs and videos from our pupils’ celebrations at home. Some children had then volunteered to speak about what they had been up to, giving others a meaningful insight into their experiences. It was a lovely opportunity for pupils to take pride in their culture and for others to listen, learn and ask respectful questions.

The celebration continued back in classrooms, where each class took part in their own Eid-inspired activities. These moments helped to deepen pupils’ understanding of different cultures and beliefs, while reinforcing our school values of respect, community and inclusion. It was a fantastic example of how we celebrate diversity at Stokesay and ensure that every child feels seen, valued and proud of who they are.
