Football Primary shield. 2nd December 2024
On the 2nd December the children of Stokesay, who were part of the teams, did us all extremely proud at the Football Primary Shield competition held at Castlefields Primary School. Below, Frankie in Yr6 has written up a fantastic report for us all to read.
Football report

Stokesay travelled to Castlefield’s to play in the football Primary Shield event. The 2nd event of 4 throughout the year. All the teams showed Stokesay Primary school values and played their very best, showcasing brilliant skills. Read below for detailed reports on each team.
Yr5/6 Girl’s results:
In the first game the girls played Castlefield’s and played amazingly they drew 0-0. Highlight of the match was when Beth made a cracking save.
In the second game the girls played Alverly and the won 4-0 with goals coming from Sajida (1) Emily (1) and Kayla (2)
Finally, in their last game they played their hearts out and they drew 1-1. Kayla scoring yet another goal, making it a hattrick for her.
Yr5/6 boys results:
In the boys first game they played Castlefield’s and played incredibly well winning 3-0.
Bentley making a great starting attack and scoring first, and then Max and Kyle scoring to make it 3-0. This was even more impressive win as Castlefields accidently played 9 aside instead of the allocated 7!
In their second game they played Averly and won 1-0 with Bently scoring again.
Their last game was against St Leonards and the played their very best and won 2-0 with both goals from Bentley making it 4 throughout the afternoon for him.
Y3/4 boys results:
In the boys first game the boys played extremely well! They played Castlefield’s but unluckily they lost 3-0. In that match Archie B won man of the match for his great goal keeping.
In their second game they played Alverly and they won 1-0. In that match Vova got man of the match for great passing.
Finally, in their final game they played their absolute hearts out but sadly they lost 3-0.
In that match Jacob was man of match for great defending.
Overall it was a fantastic event and the behaviour of everyone at Stokesay was
outstanding. Everyone should be very proud of themselves.
