Attendance
When children are in school every day, they feel more confident, included and ready to learn, giving them the best chance to succeed.
Coming to school every day makes a real difference to your child’s learning, wellbeing and happiness. Regular attendance helps children feel secure in their routines, build strong friendships and develop confidence in themselves as learners. It also means they don’t miss important teaching, shared experiences or the small moments that help them feel part of the school community.
We know that families face different challenges, and we are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers in a supportive and understanding way. Our approach to attendance is rooted in inclusion and early help — offering guidance, encouragement and practical support where needed. By prioritising attendance together, we can ensure every child has full access to learning, feels a strong sense of belonging and is able to make the most of every opportunity at school — because every day really does count.
